Presidential Elections in United States of America


The race has begun in United Sates of who will run and rule the super power of the world. The heat and steam of election is at its peak. Both the contestants for the White House just want to ruin each other’s personalities. It’s not much time left to see who’s going to win those elections. People of the United States are waiting eagerly for who is going to have the hot seat of White House as the President of the United States of America. The date for elections is 8 November 2016.

Who are the Contestants

Well, two of the most famous personalities (can be questioned about what they are famous for) are contesting these elections and their names are:

  • Hilary Clinton
  • Donald Trump

Hilary Clinton

She is the wife of former US President Bill Clinton. She also served as the Foreign Minister of the United States. She has the experience and her policies also reflect that she has been looking on the problems that the world and United States have. Her stands on the various matters show her thinking level.

Hilary has a vast experience serving United States. She served US as:

  • United States Secretary of States from 2009 to 2013
  • Senator of the US Senate from 2001 to 2009
  • Candidate of the Presidential Elections in 2008
  • First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001

Donald Trump

Donald Trump may be the most criticized contestant for Presidential Elections in the US history but still he has many voters behind him. He is basically a business man mainly of notorious fame and his policies especially those related to Muslims shows his mind that he can be an extremist. But the basic thing is the voters will decide who will win despite of what sort of popularity you have. Donald Trump has never held an electoral office.

Recent Polls

The recent polls in September have shown that Donald Trump has a high over Hilary but this the fact that these polls can be reversed any time so you can’t just rely on polls to win you elections.

The victory of Trump is not higher in points over Hilary and also in many States, Hilary is still winning. Considering the overall polls results including of that held in September, Clinton still has the lead of 95 points as her points are 260 and Trump have 165 points.

According to poll, Hilary has strong moral standards and it reflects in her speeches and debates but Trump can be a strong leader.

Policies of Donald Trump

An overview of his policies is given below:

  • Trade deals should be fare so they can create jobs and increase wages. To resolve disputes, use every legal way and if nothing can be done, use the out of box approach to resolve all trade disputes.
  • Taxes should be reduced on working and middle income American people across the board.
  • For health, Trump has the idea to replace Obamacare to Health Saving Accounts.
  • For national defense, he wanted to increase the size of US military to 540,000 active military soldiers.
  • For immigration, Establish new immigration controls to boost wages and to ensure that open jobs are offered to American workers first.
  • For education, he wishes to add an additional $20 billion to school choice.
  • He wants to create a dynamic booming economy to create 25 million new jobs over the next decade.

Policies of Hilary Clinton

An overview of his policies is given below:

  • She wishes to create an economy that serves everyone well not just the upper class.
  • Health should be Universal, quality and affordable to everyone.
  • She states that America should maintain the strongest military the world has ever known.
  • She believes on immigration reforms as it serves a pathway to full and equal citizenship.
  • For jobs, America can make the boldest investment in jobs since the World War 2.
